2018 Summary: Ultras Zagłębie Sosnowiec

A good year for Zagłębie Sosnowiec Ultras which saw their club promoted back to the top division in Poland after many years in the lower leagues. They made good shows in their home matches against Odra Opole, GKS Tychy and Legia Warszawa. Away from home they had several good trips already in Ekstraklasa with the best being against Wisła in Kraków.

Best home match vs Legia Warszawa 20.12.2018:

Zagłębie and Legia fans have a friendship for many years with their choreo for this match ‘rodzinna atmosfera’ ‘family atmosphere’ being very appropriate for the occasion. Both Zagłębie and Legia fans were together in the same sector. During the choreo allot of pyro and fireworks were used which caused the match to be stopped for 10 minutes. Unfortunately after the match Zagłębie were fined and Zagłębie fans were given an away ban for their next 5 away matches.

Best away match vs Wisła Kraków 29.10.2018:

Distance from Sosnowiec to Kraków isn’t very far, around 1.5 hours in the car but the match was on the worst possible day for fans, Monday. Still Zagłębie fans used all of their 1000 tickets. During the first half Zagłębie Ultras unveiled a banner covering most of their sector ‘Its My Drug’. A pyro show with yellow flares and strobes followed.
